Rental Information

Everything you need to know before you hit the road. Please read our rental policies carefully.

Driver and documents

  • Driver age and experience requirements depend on the selected vehicle, not on one fixed site-wide rule.
  • The handoff is completed only after Bent checks the main driver documents and the booking details.
  • International renters should be ready to show passport details and, where needed, an international driving permit.
  • Additional drivers must be registered before handoff and meet the same document checks as the main driver.

Protection and liability

  • Base protection, optional upgrades, and exclusions are confirmed for the exact booking, not assumed from a generic template.
  • Deposit size can change with the car, route, protection package, and delivery setup.
  • If extra protection is added, Bent confirms what it reduces and what still stays outside coverage.
  • Any incident, damage, or roadside event must be reported immediately so the correct support process can start.

Payment and deposit

  • Payment method, prepayment logic, and deposit handling are confirmed before pickup for the exact rental setup.
  • If a deposit is required, it must be tied to the approved booking and the verified main driver.
  • Refund timing for a released deposit depends on the payment channel and the final post-rental check.
  • If the trip needs a non-standard setup, Bent confirms the payment route before the handoff is scheduled.

Car use and return

  • Fuel status, return condition, and the final handoff point are confirmed before the trip starts.
  • Mileage rules, regional use, and mountain-route suitability depend on the selected car and the planned route.
  • Off-road driving or any use outside the approved route is not automatic and must be cleared in advance.
  • Smoking, severe interior dirt, or misuse of the car can lead to post-rental charges after inspection.

Border and route approval

  • Cross-border driving is never automatic and must be approved before pickup.
  • If a border route is possible, Bent confirms the destination, documents, timing, and any extra charge in advance.
  • Some routes may require a different car category, extra protection, or a different handoff plan.
  • If the route changes after confirmation, approval needs to be checked again before the trip continues.

Before booking

This page is a working overview, not the final rental contract. The confirmed booking, approved route, selected car, and signed rental documents always take priority over the public summary.
